Being a traditional baker like me, you learn that there are many products available to use, but I want to help my readers choose the perfect tool for each specific baking task. Measuring: Glass cups also known as liquid measuring cups are ideal for measuring wet ingredients and metal individual cups are for dry ingredients and it is important to make sure they are level. The perfect tool: Rubber Spatulas can be used to scrape down the inside of your mixing bowl and to place icing in piping bags; Whisks are used to blend together dry ingredients and a whisk attachment for your mixing bowl can be used to make whipped cream. A hook attachment also referred to as a “dough hook” is used when making dough/breads to help knead the dough together, not mix it. A paddle attachment is what is commonly used when mixing cake batters or cookie doughs. When frosting cakes, it is best you use an offset spatula, large or small depending on the cake size and what you are more comfortable with, but a rubber spatula is really hard to use when trying to perfect your cakes. When it comes to perfecting your baking skills you want to make sure that you are choosing the perfect tool to help make your homemade baking process easier!
